Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen, tap “Edit” → “Add Widget” and choose Budgely. On the Lock Screen: touch and hold it, tap “Customize” → “Lock Screen” and add Budgely below the clock. Tapping the widget opens a new expense, and with Budgely Plus the medium widget has buttons for 3 frequent expenses that open an already filled-in form.

“Add Expense” is Budgely’s shortcut in the Shortcuts app, Spotlight and Siri, and you can assign it to the Action button on your iPhone. It opens the new expense form, and with text such as “coffee 15” it fills the form in right away.

Yes. In the expense or bill form, tap the currency sign next to the amount and pick a currency. The day’s average rate from the Polish central bank (NBP) fills in by itself (you can overwrite it), and totals are kept in your budget’s currency. In “Or type it”, “pizza 45 EUR” is enough. Only currency codes and dates are sent to the NBP service, never amounts.

Add a tag to your expenses, e.g. “#holiday” in “Or type it” or with the “Add tag” link under the entry’s description. In Expenses → More → Tags you’ll see the total and can set a limit with a progress bar; with limit warnings turned on, you get a notification at 80% and when you go over. Tags and their limits are free.

Yes. Settings → Categories and Limits: rename any category, change its icon and color, delete the ones you don’t need and add your own. You set the monthly limit right in the category form, and a one-month exception in the monthly plan.

10 a month; a photo the amount couldn’t be read from doesn’t use up a scan. When they run out, you can watch a short ad to get extra scans. With Budgely Plus you scan without limits. Receipts are read on your phone and never sent anywhere, and the scanner understands receipts in all of the app’s languages.

Download your account history as a CSV file from your bank’s website and pick it in the app: Settings → Backup and iCloud → Bank import (with Budgely Plus). The app finds the dates, amounts and descriptions by itself – in any of the app’s languages – and the file stays on your phone.

In the app: Settings → Backup and iCloud. Save a backup to a file (e.g. in iCloud Drive) and restore it on your new phone. With Budgely Plus, your data syncs through iCloud automatically.

In iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Budgely. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and Plus stays active until the end of the time you’ve paid for.

Settings → Budgely Plus → “Restore Purchases”. The purchase is tied to your Apple Account, so it works on all your iPhones and iPads.

Open the invitation from the person who created the budget on an iPhone with Budgely installed, and accept it. All you need is your Apple Account – no sign-up. Joining is free.

The free version shows small cards labeled “Ad” in the expense list, in the month and year summaries and at the bottom of the Goals tab. There are no ads for the first 3 days, and none at all with Budgely Plus. Before the first ad appears, you’ll see the consent form required in the EU – not when the app starts, but on the first screen with an ad. Ads aren’t personalized, and you can change your consent in Settings → Ads and Privacy.

Budgely is available in English, Polish, German, Ukrainian, Spanish, French, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese, and it follows your phone’s language. To use a different language just for Budgely, go to iPhone Settings → Budgely → Language. You can keep your budget in PLN, EUR, USD, GBP, UAH, CHF, CZK, HUF, RON, SEK, NOK, DKK, BRL, MXN, CAD, NZD, TRY, JPY, CNY, INR, KRW, ILS, ZAR, SGD, HKD or AUD. The receipt and bill scanners and bank import understand all of these languages.

Settings → Backup and iCloud → Delete All Data, or delete the app. To delete the copy in iCloud, go to iCloud settings on your iPhone.
